I am a humble farmboy from the Midwest United States. I am extremely moderate in my politics and my way of life. Being an extreme moderate is a hard place to be. I only want whats best for everybody but since everybody doesn't want that they tend to disagree with me a lot. Extremist left or right wing reasoning shows them that since I don't see everything the way they do, the only logical conclusion is that I must be the devil!

This is how it should be. I feel terribly sorry for the family that it happened too, but the father did the right thing. If someone breaks into my house in the middle of the night with the intent to cause harm to me and mine, you better believe I'm going to do something about it. I hope that common sense prevails - it is considered self defense, and that no charges are levied on him. Indiana is one of the few states left where this is still an option. If this happened in California or New York they would be calling him a murderer right now I bet.

It's a start - IMO 98.875% of all lawyers in the US serve no useful purpose to society what-so-ever. They are a big part of what is wrong with this country. They have the whole Robin Hood concept backwards - they steal from the poor and give to the rich. Those with the most ambition become the dreaded politician. With the right lawyer in place it is quite possible to sue any person whose life you wish to destroy because the sky is green and the grass is blue and its all their fault.
