We have a salmon coloured lounge suite that includes a 2 seater lounge and 2 lazy boy recliners. Very cool retro chic, very comfortable and only 5 years old in great condition.
We want to trade this lounge suite with you for something bigger or better, maybe a go kart, a set of golf clubs, or perhaps a plasma TV.
So, if you have something bigger or better than a lounge suite to trade, email us with the details at itemtotrade@thehouseproject.net
FYI - We are going to make a continuous chain of trades to bigger and better items until each of us can buy a home. You can get more of an idea by visiting our blog: thehouseproject.net [thehouseproject.net]

2nd trade completed! We are now the proud owners of a...

So last night we completed our second trade! Woo hoo! A lovely guy called Craig (@cravingsushi) found us on twitter and offered us a 5 year old salmon coloured lounge suite. It including a two seater couch and two lazy boys and we traded Craig for the pack of Nivea for Men Extra Soothing Balm.
After both families had been out all day, we swung around to Craigâ€s place to make the trade. We were super excited walking up to the front door, then oops wrong house! After a little bit of investigating we eventually found Craig and descended on him like a barrel of monkeys.
We may have overwhelmed him a little considering we were a group of five adults and four hyper boys under the age of 7. I hope we havenâ€t turned him off ever having children!
Craig was happy with the exchange, explaining that he had been wanting to get rid of this lounge suite for a while and by getting involved with The House Project he got to do that AND get something that he could use in exchange. These are the kinds of mutually beneficial trades that we love!
We were also interested in Craigâ€s desire to get involved from an environmental aspect as well, as that was something we hadnâ€t thought to put a lot of emphasis on. It is however another added bonus for getting involved with The House Project. So if you have items around the house that youâ€ve wanted to get rid of, but they are just too valuable to simply throw out for hard rubbish collection, then make sure you subscribe to this blog as we might have something in the near future that tickles your fancy!
Eventually we all got the lounge suite loaded into the trailer using rope and whatever happened to be in the back of Craig and Julieâ€s car. Who would have thought that some disposable nappies could come in handy for securing a couch? Then we rounded up all of the munchkins and left Craig to enjoy the rest of his Sunday evening in peace.
Thanks again to Craig for getting involved with our wonderful crazy adventure! If you're on twitter, you can find him here @cravingsushi
Now we have this salmon coloured lounge suite that we need to trade ASAP. They are in good condition and surprisingly comfy!!

In the past 24-hours we have been overjoyed with the progress of out challenge. Starting with Daniel being our first person to trade with us, we were so happy to find others that would get involved. And then today something very cool has happened. It looks like our second trade has already been arranged.
Listen in as I give you a quick update as to what's going on now.
