Umm, yeah.. Not so much.

This is a beautiful campaign, but no one should be surprised a concept such as this can't be embraced by society. Hugging encroaches upon a person's comfort zone, and it takes a great amount of bravery to let go of that inhibition and hug a complete stranger, especially when public signs of affection in any form are generally shunned.Society has been masked for years now. The stoical attitude is believed most appropriate: a disposition devoid of human emotion altogether, good or bad. We've silently agreed that it's best to not let people get too close, that we're better off shutting ourselves in and placing our own wants and needs as top priority. I don't think it's self-importance, really, so much as a blurred vision of what is and is not, or should and should not be, acceptable.But, baby steps.. I think the fact that the Free Hugs Campaign has been banned in so many places speaks more of people and the state of things than hugging ever could. It's an unfortunate truth that it often takes a negative reaction to raise awareness.

Hmm.. I don't much see the parallelism between the visual similarities of dogs and their owners and paragliding. I applaud how random it is. It's a cute concept, I guess, but I've seen one too many commercials for Vytorin (perhaps better recognized as the "I Look Like My Favorite Food" series of commercials) to really find this all that funny. Nay.

RecipeInsider has a number of other recipes worth trying, but the "Secret Recipes" list includes foods I find myself craving on a regular basis. I'm going to have to give some of these a try; particularly, Olive Garden's House Dressing. I could really go for their soup and salad dinner right about now :-)

Mark Jenkins' street installations are imaginative and different, both in medium and execution.The series includes the placement of "tape people" (sometimes "tape creatures") on streets across the globe and a few situational installations as well (a walker anchored to a street sign, for example). In some cases, visitors are given the opportunity to see more photos or even watch videos which further document the reactions of passers-by.I'd say it's worth the visit if only to see the artistic possibilities of our environment.
