The Flaming Lips - Watching The Planets - Video Exclusiv...

I've always wanted to analyze the relationship between the Flaming Lips and the ego. It is so often referenced that I feel it is the quilted fabric behind their existence as a musical entity. With that said, "Watching the Planets" is an Id's delight. Mother nature comes together in setting (a tranquil, magical forest who knows where) and costume (nothing!) Did I mention WAYNE is NAKED at the end of the video? He finally leaves his ultimate comfort zone of gray suit and bubble and ditches it for hippie dancing and living. Let alone the song itsself is brilliant and awe-inspiring...can;t wait to see this at Bonnaroo 2010!

What a warm, fuzzy feeling I get from seeing this. I personally have only experienced this kind of musical intimacy with close friends, but never strangers. This makes me want to hold open a door for everyone around me, to be kind and to actually have some faith in humanity! Bon, Iver...you get it.

New Grizzly Bear Video - "Ready, Able" - Stereogum

This new video, I can safely say, isn't too weird for Griz fans...but my first impressions were literally Gumby on Acid, which isn't a bad thing, trust me. "Ready, Able" offers an enticeful, very colorful story of clay things in an ET forest. The animation is interesting for whatever it's trying to pull; I felt genuine feelings coming from the melted faces of those (dare I say?) cute clay people...also reminded me of the innocent days of elementary art class. Overall, bravo to GB again for a memorable way of personifying the album.

This single off of Ocean Sunbirds caught my attention immediately. It's catchy and unique, to make an interesting combo that I'm sure will attract many more listeners in the near future.It starts off in good spirits, and builds to a crescendo that I'm sure will echo in my mind for the rest of the night.

This is off of MM's new EP "No One's First and You're Next"...let me tell you this has got to be one of their most interesting songs in a long time. It boasts a familiar feeling inside of what it's like for me to hear their classic albums from the 90's and early 00's..which hasn't been happening lately. And it's not just their sound, the air direction in this video is simply stunning...like "Float On" stunning. Fans old and new should thoroughly enjoy this.

This is rather...uplifting from the droney ambience I'm used to hearing from Atlas Sound. Although I like ambient music, I kind of wish I was Sheila... because Bradford Cox is right, no one wants to die alone.

What a trip, literally. The brightness of colors in the video really add essence to the happy feeling I get from hearing this song. I remember one night being in a loaded car with friends, driving down the highway screaming this song! Now my eyes can be just as equally...stimulated.

The beginning reminds me very much of The Moon & Antactica, something I've been hoping MM would get to for a few years now. It's an interesting concept for a theme..hopefully this will go viral and serve as a main-stream PSA

As a 90's kid, I can definetely appreciate this video. I was instantly revived with nostalgia of old MTV-inspired black & white grungyness. Just quirky scenes of weird things happening...and you even see them playing for a bit. This is what music videos used to be like. And the song's not so bad either.
