metaeducation is a 33 year old guy from Hollywood, California, USA
I'm sort-of a futurist, a believer in free culture and free software, and a dabbler in metaphysics. I also have a strong belief that people should be aware of who is programming them and why (e.g. in a Noam Chomsky sense). Feel free to write me if you like. As often as I push the Stumble! button, I clearly have time on my hands...

From the page: "Dr. Logan declined to comment about the specific chemicals because of proprietary concerns. He says the findings have been patented and the group is working with a commercial company to develop the compounds into a usable insect repellent." It says this immediately after saying "Besides delivering annoying bites, mosquitoes cause hundreds of millions of cases of disease each year. As many as 500 million cases of malaria are contracted globally each year, and more than one million people die from it, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention." Don't you think this is one of those cases where you should not be holding back your findings?!?
