Fermis Paradox

Ah, human arrogance know no bounds. If there are other civilizations out there in space, how come they aren't interested in US, the brilliant, spectacular, wonderful human race? If I was a space traveller coming across Earth for the first time, I wouldn't be that motivated to set foot on it either.
If there are aliens somewhere, they're everywhere. If they're everywhere, then there's absolutely -nothing- special about mankind, and the aliens see pathetic little ant colonies like ours a million times before lunch every day and are too busy doing whatever it is that advanced galactic civilizations do, eating neutron stars or throwing stuff into black holes, to be bothered. How often do WE try to communicate with lesser organisms? Never. Then why would we assume that they would?
