"Our mission at Bibliopolis is to help independent booksellers establish, maintain and grow their Internet presence with easy-to-use products and services that can evolve when the market demands it."
The two mottos go pretty much down the road in setting the tone for who we are. The culture of the book is alive and well here. This is a real brick and mortar bookstore lovingly appointed and stocked and given a world wide presence by the marvelous electronic revolution known as the Internet. Reality is very much in command, virtually without pause.
Our firm was established in 1977 by John and Jude Lubrano. Since that time, we have issued over sixty catalogues and specialized lists offering musical autographs and manuscripts, rare printed music, rare books on music and dance, and music- and dance-related iconography, and have come to be recognized as among the leading international dealers in antiquarian music and dance material.
David & Cathy Lilburne of Antipodean Books, Maps & Prints have been full time antiquarian booksellers since 1976. The firm was established in England from 1976 to 1981, and has since been located in Cold Spring & Garrison, New York, and for 15 years, had a branch in Perth, Western Australia.
James Bryant & Mary Hill of Carpe Diem Fine Books have been booksellers since 1995.
Books have always played a large part of our lives, whether for the knowledge gained or the sheer pleasure of reading. When a career change found James considering new areas of life to explore, he "seized the day" - and Carpe Diem Fine Books was born.
We specialize in books of merit and distinction, with an emphasis on modern firsts, art and photography, signed volumes, and scarce non-fiction titles.
