I've always been a huge fan of Ubuntu Linux. Since Wary hit the scene several years back they had my attention. Moving from Debain 2 to Ubuntu seemed the natural thing to do. Debian's release cycle was years in the making whereas Ubuntu updated on a regular schedule.
Through the years I became tested differing windowing systems before selecting Beryl. Mostly because my video card couldn't handle Compiz. When Beryl and Compiz merged to become Compiz Fusion we all rejoiced at how far we'd come in bring the graphical user interface to Linux. Ubuntu easily surpasses Windows with Compiz Fusion as seen in this video clip found on Ubuntube.net.
The Compiz Cube has been modified as seen in this Ubuntu 8.10 desktop using the Sphere. You can now turn it into either a cylinder or a sphere. This is a test video of the sphere. Edit: The flickering is an artifact from the desktop recording program. No flickering is present while using this feature.

In December of 2008, Offer appeared in another infomercial originating on the internet for the kitchen utensil SlapChop, in which Offer adds the following double entendres: "You're gonna love my nuts." and "Don't have a boring tuna." His sales pitch also advertises a bundled hand operated cheese grater, the Graty.

- Offer appeared on infomercials for his movie and also sold kitchen utensils at a swap meet. Currently he is featured as a spokesman in a commercial for ShamWow! absorbent towels that began airing in the spring of 2008. Offer's work on the ad received some comment in the media. Slate.com's Seth Stevenson praised Offer for his "impressive and subtle mastery of the pitchman's art" and wondered if Offer's "abrasive manner might also mark a unique, new strategy in the annals of pitchdom." Stevenson compared Offer to earlier, "more upbeat" television pitchmen like Billy Mays and the Home Shopping Network hosts and concluded that Offer's "smooth-talking condescension" was more suited to the present zeitgeist than the "earnest fervor" of spokesmen like Mays and Ron Popeil. - It says "several models" - pft, more like all models. Plus if you look at who's climbing the charts with cellphones Ericson is all but disappearing!
Go with iPhone, Blackberry or Samsung - hell even Motorola is kicking strong these days. Better yet turn the damn thing off and spend time with the family. Now that's the best battery saving advice I can think of.
