 | Last login: 4 hours agoSkye is a 19 year old woman from My Own Little World, Arkansas, USA. Well, the best way to get to know me is to check out my stumbles, but I'll summarize for you.
I'm attending Hendrix College in Arkansas as an environmental studies major. I like books, movies, the Internet, video games, Harry Potter (as in the books, fandom, and everything that goes along with it), music, hiking, geocaching, fish, cats, the furry fandom, and plenty of other things. If you want to find me anywhere else, just look up lynxdaemonskye. If it doesn't come up with anything, I'm not there.

From the page: "He's doing extraordinary things. You almost don't believe the results that he got," Weisfeldt said of Buckberg. "Most of us carry around in our head that if somebody's brain is deprived of blood flow for 10 to 15 minutes that we're just not going to get them back to any useful function. His data suggest it's possible."

Jun 30, 7:37am (1 review) online-games, olympics, london-2012 http://www.london2012.com/get-involved/o...- From the page: "On Sunday 26th July, thousands of concrete blocks will be used to create a giant line of dominoes along a 15-kilometre route. Beginning in Newham, the starting ceremony will see hundreds of blocks brought to life by a group of performers: changing, shifting and eventually setting in motion the slow toppling of blocks on their journey. On streets, through parks and even on water, occasionally disappearing and then resurfacing, sometimes pausing for sculptural performances, the domino line will wend its way southwards, crossing the Thames and concluding at dusk in the grounds of the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich."

Not because it allows you to keep up with the daily goings-on of Khloe Kardashian (although it does!), but because we are seeing for the first time what happens when a government that needs to control information to survive can't control information. Iranians are using twitter to organize, to share information, and even to discuss which routes to take to rallies to avoid confrontations with the police."

Jun 17, 12:27am (3 reviews) science http://tech.yahoo.com/blogs/null/143945- From the page: "Currently Nokia is able to harvest all of 5 milliwatts from the air; the goal is to increase that to 20 milliwatts in the short term and 50 milliwatts down the line. That wouldn't be enough to keep the phone alive during an active call, but would be enough to slowly recharge the cell phone battery while it's in standby mode, theoretically offering infinite power -- provided you're not stuck deep underground where radio waves can't penetrate."
I was just thinking the other day about all those radio waves, satellite signals, wi-fi signals, etc., that are always in the air... This is a great use of them.

Scholastic's strategy seems to be predicated on the idea that kids don't actually like to read at all, that they have to be bribed to do it with trading cards and video games and cash. Undoubtedly there are many lessons publishers can learn from Harry Potter. But that isn't one of them."
