I'm not normally a big fan of absurdist comedy, but I laughed out loud by the last panel of this one.

TinEye Reverse Image Search

TinEye is like a reverse Google image search: upload an image, and it'll help you identify it. Not perfect, but it's workable, and a sign that we're on our way to omnipotent robots!

The Last Red Riding Hood in full, French glory! One of my favorite short films ever. It's pretty twisted and probably NSFW or children, but it's a pretty original take on the Little Red Riding Hood tale. (Pity there are no subtitles, but you don't need them to enjoy it.)

Twelve Virtues of Rationality
Oct 3, 2008 7:31pm    (21 reviews)  ai, rationality, essay  http://yudkowsky.net/virtues/
The 12 Virtues of Rationality. A list worth imbibing.

From the page: "The first virtue is curiosity. A burning itch to know is higher than a solemn vow to pursue truth. To feel the burning itch of curiosity requires both that you be ignorant, and that you desire to relinquish your ignorance. If in your heart you believe you already know, or if in your heart you do not wish to know, then your questioning will be purposeless and your skills without direction. Curiosity seeks to annihilate itself; there is no curiosity that does not want an answer. The glory of glorious mystery is to be solved, after which it ceases to be mystery. Be wary of those who speak of being open-minded and modestly confess their ignorance. There is a time to confess your ignorance and a time to relinquish your ignorance."

Two girls taking turns drawing (very cute) comics revolving around children and worms.
