Catherine is a 22 year old woman from Philippines

My personal mantra goes something like "Remember that you're only given one life, and you don't know how long you're going to be alive. So spend as much time as you can with the people you love, do the things that make you happy, be true to yourself, chase after your dreams. And never stop dreaming." I love being alive. I love experiencing things for the first time. I love discovering things. I love listening to the stories of people, you never know what you might learn from whom. I like to keep an open-mind, and I always give other people the benefit of the doubt. I don't believe in giving someone my trust after they've broken it. I want to help as many people as I can in this world. I honestly believe that I can fulfill all my dreams. "Excuse me while I kiss the sky" ;) Catch me at Last.FM~43things

Paul Sanchez is a true inspiration. He traveled across the United States on his bicycle, teaching little children with learning disabilities. He's truly a caring, and selfless man. Please check out his video and share it with those you know, to give attention to the good he's doing. Thank you. :)

P.S. Don't forget to vote for his video.
  • Trip around Southeast-Asia

    Created Apr 09 2009

I'm planning to go on a trip around Southeast Asia, particularly Thailand/Cambodia/Malaysia/Laos/(maybe)Vietnam, but I'm having some trouble planning an itinerary. If anyone here has done a trip similar to this and can give any tips, they would be most appreciated. I'm planning to spend a minimum of one month and maximum of two months traveling out, or could visit, would be great so please. It would be great to speak to someone who's done this before. Thanks Stumbleland. Peaaaace Outt. :D

This video gave me chills the entire time. The way he shoved, and groped the girls did make me want to beat his a**. But I loved the "requiem for a dream"-vibe; the pace the video moved in; and the mesmerizing effect from seeing things from a junkie/a**hole/abuser's point of view. And this video DID totally blow my mind.

Mexico's most wanted man, "El Chapo", or Shorty, heads the Sinaloa cartel, one of the biggest suppliers of Cocaine to the U.S. In 1993 was arrested in Mexico on homicide and drug charges. Escaped from federal prison in 2001, reportedly through the laundry, and quickly regained control of his drug trafficking organization, which he still controls today. In 2008 Mexican and Colombian traffickers laundered between $18 billion and $39 billion in proceeds from wholesale shipments to the U.S. Shorty, an alleged tunnels expert, is believed to have directed anywhere from a third to half of that during the past 8 years. Apparently started out working with Miguel Angel Felix Gallardo, "El Padrino", or the Godfather, head of the most powerful drug trafficking group in Mexico at that time. U.S. government is offering a $5 million reward for his capture."

I'm impressed by Joaquin Guzman Loera's wits and talent. Becoming a self-made billionaire smuggling drugs probably wasn't easy. And he was only caught once, but he managed to escaped and has been free since 2001. I bet he'd be a really interesting person to speak to.

  • Man O War Encounter

    Created Jan 27 2009

Let me introduce everyone to the Portugese Man 'O War, or more commoonly known as the bluebottle or blue bubble jelly fish (in Australia and the Philippines anyways).

This MotherF'r right here stung me on my recent trip to the beach.

Poor, old, unexpecting me was about to hop on my surfboard after wiping out for the 1000x time. Then I feel this sharp stabbing pain on my back, and I think "holy s**t not another cramp"

But then my instructor shouts "Don't move! And don't touch your back! I'm about to remove something but don't freak out." I'm thinking how the hell do you expect me not to freak out after hearing you say that?

And I just bite my upper lip and try not to cry, while I wait to hear whatever I have to face. This trip was supposed to be a relaxing one, and it was just my luck to have something like this happen. I blame Mercury Retrograde!

Anyways, I get back on shore and my instructor explains that it was one of those little blue buggers that was stuck on my back.

My instructor has also fallen victim to the bluebottle, but he was stung close to his chest and had to be rushed to the E.R. cause he couldn't breathe.

I was apparently lucky that I was stung on my back And everything did seem fine after putting vinegar, the mark subsided and the pain went away.

Then, oh god, yesterday the mark reappears out of f'ing nowhere. I have no idea why? And from a little hook shaped mark on my back, it spread to my butt and my upper back, and it started itching like a 100x worse.

I had to go to the hospital yesterday cause it was so uncomfortable. I found out that I have an allergic reaction to its venom. Today I'm angry at this little f'er!

If you live in a tropical country BEWARE!! Their sting hurts, and they have no mercy!

"The intoxicating power of words that slowly drip from my fingers key stroke by keystroke leave me tired, gutted and hollow. With every true word that is extracted from me to take residence upon the screen, a piece of me goes with it too.
My grey eyes glisten with relief too, as the greasy tumours of thought are expelled.

That's my excuse for not writing anyway"

I only wish I could compose my sentences as beautifully as he explains why he isn't able to write. This man right here just blew me away with his words.
  • BBC NEWS | Middle East | Shoes thrown at Bush on Iraq trip

    Rated Dec 14 2008 3 reviews news bbc.co.uk

President Bush had shoes thrown at him during a recent trip to Iraq. Haha! I'm surprised no one tried to assassinate him while he was there. I mean he is responsible for the murder of innocent women and children. What was he expecting, a welcome mat to be rolled out with flowers strewn across?

    Wake up Bush!
