McKinlaw Lina, daughter of a wealthy retired general, wife, against the advice of his parents, John Aysgarth seductive, a playboy gambler and spendthrift. Their honeymoon led them to Monte Carlo to Venice, Rome and Paris. Back in England, John rented a gorgeous house, but later he confessed to Lina that he had no money and it is heavily indebted. It nevertheless continues to play the races and Beaky convinces his friend to invest in real estate business. Lina realizes that his death would settle the affairs of her husband. Shortly after, Beaky is killed in Paris, while John was away ...
