Yup this makes me smile...but really it doesn't matter how you eat your pasta. To be that much of a snob about it means that I should never eat sushi because my technique with chop sticks is for babies
Death plucks my ear and says, Live -- I am coming.

I love these pin up paintings
I loved this restaurant when i lived in the GTA!
This probably linked to the study that showed that trees in areas where there was higher than normal radium in the water had a higher concentration of ions in the air.
I over hear that the operating cost for one of their diamond mines was 450 billion while the profit was only 10.
Sell...Sell...SELL!!!!!!
I am going to study a similar phenomena, but very different, because I the iron isn't introduced by nano particles and they aren't zero valent. but the same thing happens when ferrous iron (Fe+2) is oxidized to Ferric iron (Fe+). the product is the same; some sort of Fe3+ mineral that sorbs trace elements and charged particles. They are using zero valent iron to de-chlorinate the solvent by oxidizing it. same but different. Though i wish i had an advanced spectrographic lab. I got an SEM and EDS, I can go down to micron but not the nano scale. would be nice?
re: I don't know much about how ions behave in air, but I do know a bit about how ions behave in water. There's a whole bunch of charged particles in water; major anions (negative particles) and cations (positive particles) give water their chemical finger print and trace elements just kinda swash around. For the most part these ions don't just combine and form neutral molecules because they are happy to stay dissolved in the water, unless the ions become super concentrated or the properties of the water change such that the ions are no longer stable as dissolved ions. Air much be different though because gasses are not typically charged (CO2, N2, O2, Ar), and water is H+ + OH- ==> H2O. must be different.
I wonder what the concentrations are in the air, breathing in radon gas is bad for you...it's pretty radioactive, and i think it gives off alpha particles when it does which are damaging when inhaled. underground mines typically have radon gas management plans for this very reason
...and if venice is sinking...i'm going under..if beauty is religion, then it's christened me with wonder.
there are 31.10 grams in a troy ounce; AND troy ounces are used mainly as a measure of precious metals.
From the page: A historically useful generalization supported by the Arrhenius equation is that, for many common chemical reactions at room temperature, the reaction rate doubles for every 10 degree Celsius increase in temperature.
for reactants to transform into products, they must first acquire a minimum amount of energy, called the activation energy
saddle graft.
gonna watch all of this later.
gonna read this later, lal alal alala
I am reading about modelling flow in the unsaturated zone and the Richards Equation is the "first principle"
From the page: "but the aim of the government's action and the long term reforms that it proposes is to provide a job and a future to the young generation and to fully include women in public life."
I had to read this twice, really are women still second class citizens in italy?
The use of Gold as currency predates the creation of the periodic table; however, that video reverse engineered the use of gold from the periodic table. Interesting! but it really doesn't give me a good sense of why gold? more like, why there couldn't have been anything else but gold.
holy eff i searched like a madman to find out when municipal debates were going on and the reason i couldn't find what i was looking for is because they are called community information events. FUCK why are these things so hard to find...because uniformed voters are WAY better than informed voters!
FUCK I MISSED THIS!!! because i didn't know it was happening. fuck fuck fuck
this is a really interesting debate, as i see it: there doesn't seem to be a whole sale dismantling of the wheat board but a step to remove the mandatory involvement of all wheat farmers...and to allow those that wish to, to sale their wheat to whom ever and which ever market they choose. So it seems that this is an issue of freedom...there are at least 35% of wheat farmers that want out of the wheat board, democracy does not equal freedom.
hmmm...i was just reminded that if there can be no patent but scientists are still able to do research, the good work they do might be able to proliferate faster, which would be great for people waiting on stem cell research to save them.
i wonder if the Christians thought about that...
