Whining About Teachers' Salaries in Disguise


I write computer programs that are used by millions of people... Let's see... $3.00 an hour times 1,000,000 users per day... I guess I'm underpaid, too.

Don't get me wrong, I think good teachers deserve good money, and I've said that before, but unfortunately, in my neighborhood, too many of them really are just babysitters. Stop showing my kids movies in school and teach them something. Stop sending projects home for the whole family to do - I already went to school. Stop telling me my kid doesn't know her multiplication facts and teach them to her. And, by the way, no matter what you say, coloring homework is a waste of time; my child doesn't want to stay within the lines, and I support that completely.

Give all the tax money to the excellent teachers, and give the rest minimum wage. Let the parents vote. We can recognize the good ones.
