Author of Left-Brain Creative blog, branding strategist, social marketing consultant, copywriter and photographer, located in Pittsburgh, Pa. I heard on the radio one day that a rising field of academic study is "attention management." The idea is that everyone is so busy, so stressed and so overwhelmed by media, the first thing we have to do to get ANYTHING accomplished is to capture somebody's attention. In a nutshell, that's what my professional life is all about. I research markets, develop messaging and brand strategies, and supervise creative development of campaign materials. (I do NOT do paid media planning.) I'm also one of the many communication consultants working on ways to fit social media into the marketing communications mix. Speciality: Although I'm familiar with market research, account planning, brand strategy, communications strategy and consumer behavior, I specialize in the fundamentals: using words and images to communicate.
