Peter is a 43 year old guy from Los Angeles, California, USA

I'm a writer and consultant living in Los Angeles. I have been out here several years, writing screenplays, trying my hand at movie producing, and running my own consulting company that specializes in corporate finance for smaller companies. I spent six years living in the former Soviet Union prior to decamping to LA. My wife is Russian and I have a daughter who was born in November 2003. My company's website is www.davidsonllc.us.

Yeah, those oldfangled PCs from the 1980s were more expensive. But they were worth it, goshdarnit!

Kids these days, they don't understand the value of kilobyte. They think everything comes in gigabytes and terabytes. Well I used to have to haul this computer into meetings and run presentations off of 5.25" floppies, and dammit, I'm a better man for it! And the presentations were better, too! Even on an amber 5" diagonal screen (although I preferred green)!

I wish I still did it that way. Presentations look better in ASCII anyway.

For those clicking the link, a rundown of the PCs of the 1980s, complete with memory and price tags. Go shopping!
