From the page: "The 17th annual GenArt Film Festival wrapped on Tuesday, after "seven premieres and seven parties" celebrating fresh-faced filmmakers.
"I didn't always know I wanted to make films," said Los Angeles-based filmmaker Jennifer Clary, whose "The Silent Thief"窶"a dark comedy meets psychological thriller窶"screened on Sunday. "I went to school for theater. I wanted to be an actress. I started taking film classes at Vassar [College] and realized, I adore directing! It's such a rush to have all these moving pieces, trying to figure out a puzzle with all these people. I would do anything to be able to direct fulltime."
