Total eclipse heralds a new world, a new way. So why don't the artists make wholesome films, and books, and paintings? Why are the poets silent while rap music is filled with rage and violent intent? Why? Because in the marketplace there is not enough money/power to be made. Not enough people care. And, too, most artists don't have a clue as to what they're supposed to be doing. The temporal secular culture cannot inform them regarding the eternal sacred. Art trends come and go as fast as hair styles and hemlines. The desire to be "in" matters more than what they're getting into. Besides, in total eclipse, the Shadow produces its own masters in the arts and vice and mayhem. And they enthrall the populace with their dark magic. This isn't to say there aren't artists working within the realm of the sacred. They are simply overshadowed. They stand in the wings not center stage.

They must wait for their time has yet to arrive. In the dark age of the Shadow they, like seeds in earth, are incubating. Spring is their time to come forth. Winter belongs to the Shadow. Beneath the violent din of the Shadow, imperceptible, are the sounds of tiny seeds cracking open. And with the confidence only faith knows they push toward the light that has yet to come.
