    I, for one, hadn't read the Lord of the Rings trilogy before seeing the movies. Afterward, I read The Hobbit.

    I've read a good portion of the books listed and could tell you that an accurate depiction on screen of what my mind painted inside my head would please me to no end.

    In fact, I would actually go to a theater to see the titles listed for my own sake and revel in the fact that fandom would ignite a flurry of book purchases in order to scrutinize the accuracy.

    Something like that.
