Okay I made this, and the cream mixture is to die for. But I would recommend making it in a pan smaller than 9x13 because there wasn't enough cream to make a thick enough layer. Also it used a lot more than 1 package of lady fingers - I bought three packages just to have some extra, and used them all. Also, not all ladyfingers are alike - Ree (the pioneer woman herself) mentioned that her ladyfingers were delicate and crispy but the ones I bought were more like little pieces of shaped spongecake. But all in all, the tiramisu was divine, and the brandy was a nice touch as well.. although my husband made a sad sort of face when I told him I used up 3/4 cup of his brandy. :)
Funny clip about Star Wars told from the point of view of someone who's never seen the movies. The telling itself is smirk-worthy but the animation makes it even better.
The meme is that this was a drawing a child turned in for her homework assignment. There are several different versions of it online, but I liked this conclusion the best:
(Here's the reply the teacher received the following day)
Dear Mrs. Jones, I wish to clarify that I am not now, nor have I ever been, an exotic dancer. I work at Home Depot and I told my daughter how hectic it was last week before the blizzard hit. I told her we sold out every single shovel we had, and then I found one more in the back room, and that several people were fighting over who would get it. Her picture doesn't show me dancing around a pole. It's supposed to depict me selling the last snow shovel we had at Home Depot. From now on I will remember to check her homework more thoroughly before she turns it in. Sincerely, Mrs. Smith
