S Chanrashekaran Nair, an ex-army man, has taken it to himself to sensitise the people of Trivandrum, and his most powerful medium being Facebook. A self-employed farmer of 62, his status message in Facebook and Twitter on August 15 reads, "I will not tap the Rubber trees on 16th to take part in the fast at Martyr Square[Trivandrum]. My cows will be in the field from morning to evening".
