I was listening to Cliff Richard singing "Sing a Song of Freedom"
-- strange, man, that so many don't realise they've got to
    free themselves first.
Which is what I have to do.

I said that 27 years ago and I'm going to say it again now.

Because Kahlila, long dormant on SU, fed up and grouchy,
has indeed freed herself and found a new home!

Just a suggestion, but you could drop me here and join the new crowd.
Depends how you feel about the reconstructed no-frills SU, and whether you still have a use for it.

I am not going away but will say I feel SU has reduced
itself to a means of messaging and sharing pages.
    Nothing more nor less.

So that's pretty much what SU will be for now -- messaging,
swapping and keeping in touch, plus occasional idle stumbling.

Hopefully the archives will all still be here, in a readable
form, but as of now I am posting on Tumblr.

Am I hard to please or have I just demonstrated
that SU is not delivering on its promise?

OK well while I'm here I have an announcement to make.
I will no longer be updating these pages because I am moving here.

Everything will remain intact on these pages for reference and
fossicking, but I will be posting from over there and saving myself
rent and upkeep at the same time.

Please stay in touch if you've enjoyed my finds, and by all
means defriend/unsubscribe from KGB; this show is over but
    Kahlila is not.

When in the springtime of the year, when the trees are crowned with leaves,
when the ash and oak, and the birch and yew are dressed in ribbons fair,
when owls call the breathless moon in the blue veil of the nightthe shadows of the trees appear amidst the lantern light.

We've been rambling all the night and some time of this day.
Now returning back again, we bring a garland gay.

Who will go down to those shady groves and summon the shadows there, and tie a ribbon on those sheltering arms in the springtime of the year?

The songs of birds seem to fill the wood that when the fiddler plays
all their voices can be heard long past their woodland days.

And so they linked their hands and danced round in circles and in rows.
And so the journey of the night descends when all the shades are gone.
A garland gay we bring you here and at your door we stand.
It is a sprout well budded out, the work of our Lord's hand.

I listen to the wind, to the wind of my soul.

Where I'll end up, well I think only God really knows.

I've sat upon the setting sun but never (never never never) I never wanted water once.

I listen to my words but they fall far below.
I let my music take me where my heart wants to go.

I swam upon the devil's lake but never (never never never)
I'll never make the same mistake.

I don't believe I've seen a woman like you anywhere.
And I must admit that I can't see to making you into a dream.
But if I had a magical wonder word, I'd send a dove to catch your love
and I'd send a blackbird to steal your heart.

But a broken heart won't go, my endless search, little girl ???
I'm gonna fix a magic(al) spell to weave on you, little girl.

I'll fall along that you catch the wind upon the orange to sweetest sin ???before this very moment evil in ??

I'd rather wait at the dark of thousand times??, little girl,
and take the woman until the heart of my soul ??
And if I catch you sleeping along the west and gave you, alone, my secret way ?
But I bind your heart unto me very slow ?

Feel when I dance with you, we move like the sea. You, you're all I want  to know. I feel free, I feel free, I feel free.I can walk down the street, there's no one there though the pavements are one huge crowd.I can drive down the road; my eyes don't see, though my mind wants to cry out loud.Dance floor is like the sea, ceiling is the sky. You're the sun and as you shine on me, I feel free, I feel free, I feel free.

Blue jean baby, L.A. lady, seamstress for the band -- pretty-eyed, pirate smile, you'll marry a music man.

Ballerina, you must have seen her dancing in the sand and now she's in me(??), always with me, tiny dancer in my hand.

Jesus freaks out in the street handing tickets out for God.
Turning back, she just laughs. "The boulevard is not that bad."

Piano man, he makes his stand in the auditorium.
Looking on, she sings the songs -- the words she knows, the tune she hums.

But oh how it feels so real lying here with no-one near.
Only you, and you can hear me when I say -- softly, slowly:
Hold me closer, tiny dancer. Count the headlights on the highway.
Lay me down in sheets of linen. You had a busy day today.
