But then one would expect me to like it, as I did write the thing. (Sorry about giving my own site a thumbs up, but the system won't let one add a page to the index until one gives it a rating). This is the mirror page at Newsguy for a now defunct Tripod site already reviewed here, which has been moved to a new Freewebs location reviewed here.

There isn't anything on this specific page that you can't find elsewhere. While I suppose that you could review individual mirrors to pages, I hope that you will refrain from spending a lot of time doing that, and in this case just post your comments, for better or worse, on the review page for the Freewebs location.

In pure humility and with undiluted objectivity, of course - I wrote the thing.

Ah, memories, happy travel memories, of my getting ... yes, I think you can finish that thought.
This is the new location for a site already reviewed on the this Stumbleupon page, which I relocated after I become the latest in an apparently very long line of Tripod users to have his site deleted without explanation being offered by the Tripod staff, even when requested by the former user.

Please pardon the self-offered backpat, but Stumbleupon requires the user to give a new site a thumbs up or a thumbs down before he can add it, and with the demise of the old location I felt that there was a need for an update.

PS. DoctorDoom is mistaken in his implied summary of what my criticisms are and what it is that I am criticising; I most certainly do not issue a "condemnation of the entire event" based on my difficulties in finding food, as he implies, and the limitation on the amount of luggage I brought was set by the Tortoise itself, a point which he seems to miss. I'd go into more complete detail on that, but I'm getting this uncomfortable "shilling for myself" feeling and space is limited here, so I'll just say that if you look for yourself and read carefully and without prejudgement, you'll see what I mean.
