Above all, the passage of the $700 Billion Paulson bailout shows how impotent our democracy has become -- left, right, and center. On the left, nothing demonstrates the failure of our politics and our media more than this Huffington Post page.

If we're going to nationalize the banking system for $700 Billion, let's do it right. This plan -- which bills itself as dumb but not as dumb as Paulson's -- shows how to make $86.6 Billion per year so we pay back the taxpayers, finance enough home borrowing to make up for existing bank defaults, and reward the top 58% of American borrowers.
