FEATURED ON CAILE-girl's SITE WITH HER POIGNANT COMMENTARY

***Update: I received an email from the photojournalist I featured here, thanking me for my review of his page. I thought that was nice of him to write and thank me, although it was totally unexpected. Below is my original post from a while back, moved back to the top in hopes that even more will take time to visit.***
All frivolity aside (yes, I am capable of seriousness on occasion), this photojournal site is a must-see and an eye-opener. Every time I come across images such as these, I am forced to re-examine my priorities in life. Am I making the world a better place, or am I a whiny, spoiled brat who is never satisfied? I'd like to think I'm more the former than the latter, but while I bemoan the fate of bipolar and ADHD issues, others' lives are, literally, garbage. They eat it, work in it, breathe it and LIVE it day after day just so they can simply continue to exist.
The photos get pretty intense after the halfway mark. Throughout the entire page, I was impressed with the sensitivity and compassion with which the photographer presents the plight of these people.
Below, the abject misery and poverty of the lifestyle of these dump
dwellers juxtaposed against the backdrop of the houses of the wealthy.
