Next week the final wires will be removed from Willem's jaw. Then the task will be to put some weight back on him. He lost the ten pounds that I need to lose.
Oh, I also got word from my son Matthew that I am going to be a grandma again. This will be his first child, due in March of 2009. Hooray!
This morning I got a call that my sister Joyce's husband passed on during the wee hours of the day. He had been ill for an extended amount of time. Hersch was a good man. He was 56 years old.
Inspiring story by and of a physically active young man who became paralyzed and how he is now very much alive and enjoying life. thanks, jackson. This one is awesome.

"To live with small means, to seek elegance rather than luxury and refinement rather than fashion;
to be worthy, not respectable and wealthy not rich;
to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly,
to listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages with an open heart;
to bear all cheerfully, do all bravely, await occasions, hurry never.
In a word, to let the spiritual unbidden and unconscious grow up through the common.
This is my symphony."
