IRON AGE SKULL REVEALS A 2000 YEAR OLD PRESERVED BRAIN. Thanks 'sweetsfoods'. Archaeologists have found Britain's oldest surviving human brain in a field where it was buried 2,000 years ago during the Iron Age.
It was discovered inside a decapitated skull placed in a small pit near York.
Researchers studying the remains believe they could be from a human sacrifice whose head was buried to appease the gods or ward off evil spirits.

The decade from 1960 to 1970 was definitely one of those eras. The people didn't follow the teachings of its elders, but
rejected them for an alternative culture which was their very own. Made up of the younger population of the time this
new culture was such a radical society that they were given their own name which is still used today. They came to be
called the Hippies.

Wang Lifen was just 7 years old when her mother started binding her feet: breaking her toes and binding them underneath the sole of the foot with bandages. After her mother died, Wang carried on, breaking the arch of her own foot to force her toes and heel ever closer. Now 79, Wang no longer remembers the pain.
