The Shortwave Set is a dope ass British alternative pop band consisting of Andrew Pettitt (vocals, guitar), Ulrika Bjorsne (vocals, guitar) and David Farrell (samples, decks. The band's music combines sample-based music with more traditional song writing and instrumentation to create a sound that the group describes as "Victorian Funk". The band's second album, Replica Sun Machine, was released on the 12th of May 2008 by Wall of Sound.
This is one of our favorite contemporary groups! The Shortwave Set overflows our pimp cups with an amalgam of magical excitement.

Kay Kay and His Weathered Underground is an indie band started by Kirk Huffman, Kyle O'Quin of Gatsbys American Dream and Phillip A. Peterson. The band draws influence from a wide variety of musical genres. Though the band only has 3 official members, they have been known to perform with as many as 11 additional musicians on stage.
The dope ass sound of KKWU is like nothing and everything you've ever heard before all gift wrapped into a nice little package then thrown out of the window of a moving vintage Bentley. Kay Kay and His Weathered Underground has to currently be one of the greatest bands on the planet.

The Wimbledon Tennis Championships continued on Tuesday. Seems like Maria Sharapova's hot ass tuxedo-inspired shorts got more attention than her first-round win against Stephanie Foretz. Of the 22 questions in her post-match press conference, 15 were about fashion, and there were only two queries about the match. Shows you what's really on the people minds.. yep!
