This is absolutely fascinating. The super-massive black holes at the centers of galaxies could have been formed by accumulation of dark matter, which would explain why the only "visible" dark matter forms halos around galaxies. The black holes form first, sucking in the nearest dark matter. Then normal matter accumulates around this in the form of a galaxy of stars and nebulae. This makes the dark matter halos more or less independent from the stars, or, even better, predate the normal matter stars. Very interesting.
