Uber NOT over!
Dear readers, fellow Uberites,
This is a good day! ;-)
So, if you haven't got to the homepage of Uber, let me spread the great news.
Sharenow.com is buying some more time to Uber to keep it online. At least for a month. That's enough for us to show them (and others) how the Uber community is active and creative. Let's show them that it would be a BIG mistake to let it shut down.

Uber is over!
It's a sad day today because Uber will shut down its doors on Monday 29th September. This is due to the American economic crisis. The board of Uber has decided to not put anymore funds on it. It's a sad news for thousands of creators like me (musicians, photographers, fashion peoples, bloggers, ...) because we lost our house and our online family. The community there was awesome, inspiring, creative and so friendly. I lived some of my best moments as a musician there (think that I've finished at the 15th place over 1600 artists in the You Bring The Talent in March '08). I will miss hardly all these peoples.
It's also a sad day because a lot of the amazing people working a Uber are going to loose their jobs. They offered us the most amazing creative platform for artists and editors of all styles. The software they developed is the most innovative one in all the blogosphere and was surpassing any site, from MySpace to Wordpress, from Blogger to DevianArt. The people who were animating the site (helpful Nicole Burrows, musical head Michael Steele, ...) have worked so hard, countless hours, with an amazing friendship and happiness.
I'd like to thank them once again for all their awesome work and friendship. I'll miss you and really hope to see you soon on some new projects.

This is the problem: a dilemma between making music and promoting music.
As an independent artist (for the moment), I'm using Internet possibilities to promote my music. But it's becoming difficult to follow.
I am registered in various well-known music related website like Uber, Myspace, Ourstage, Sellaband, We7, LastFM, Reverbnation, ...
It's been great creating all those sites. It had bring me a lot of listeners and fans. I'm amazed by all the kind comments I receive. As an amateur graphics designer and photograph, I had always tried to make all my own material (my homepage layout took me more than 40 hours of work).
This is the problem: it's time consuming! While I'm doing this, I don't write music anymore.
I'm normally a prolific artist. I have more than 100 tunes already written and recorded. I'm actually composing two new albums projects (almost finished). There are three music videos in preparations by different directors. A show is entering pre-production for the end of the year in Brussels, with amazing lights and live videos in a theatrical performance style. As you can see, I'm already busy focusing on music and there's only 24 hours in a day.
How you can help out? By becoming my Internet Manager. You'll be in charge of maintaining all websites up-to-date, adding graphics, create new ones, contacting fans and finding new listeners, creating an e-team, seeking new opportunities of promotion, finding the best places on the net to suit my music.
I'm seeking a music lover with technical and graphic web skills, communication powers and some music business knowledge. If you're beginning in artist management, this could be a great start. I've been in the business for 20 years now and maybe you could learn one or two things from me. ;-)
As there's no money for the moment, you will not be remunerated now, but as soon as money come, you'll surely have your part.
