There are no changes to the Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat artwork: no new Light Themes version, wallpaper, no new icons or anything like that - those usually come very late in the development cycle. But there are still some changes since Alpha 1 in Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat and Ubuntu Netbook Edition 10.10 worth mentioning.

GNOME Shell 2.31.2 was released yesterday, bringing some exiting new features such as support for inline chatting in the IM notifications which now use Telepathy, an initial application menu in the top panel (for the moment it only holds a "Quit" option), restyle user status menu to match application menu and many others.

Google should have really put some effort in creating an Android for Netbooks instead of Chrome OS...

Love it. It now includes scripts to automatically download all the 400 wallpapers from National Geographic for Windows and Mac too.

Great for saving some taskbar space
