Himalaya is a man from Riga, Latvia

"It is not the mountain we conquer but ourselves."
~ Sir Edmund Hillary ~

"I've learned that everyone wants to live on top of the mountain,
but all the happiness and growth occurs while you're climbing it."

"The day you take complete responsibility for yourself,
the day you stop making any excuses, that's the day you start to the top."

Inspirer of my mind, consoler of my heart, healer of my spirit,
Thy presence lifteth me from earth to heaven,
Thy words flow as the sacred river,
Thy thought riseth as a divine spring,
Thy tender feelings waken sympathy in my heart.
Beloved Teacher, Thy very being is forgiveness.
The clouds of doubt and fear are scattered by Thy piercing glance.
All ignorance vanishes in Thy illuminating presence.
A new hope is born in my heart by breathing Thy peaceful atmosphere.
O inspiring Guide through life's puzzling ways,
In Thee I feel abundance of blessing.
    Amen.

I am peace, calm and tranquility:

    Tread Lightly

Tread lightly upon this earth, seeing, understanding but never imposing.
Thoughtful, independent, be gracious in victory and defeat.
Free of possessiveness, so ease of mind sweetens relationships.
Like the scent of a rose the untroubled spirit imparts a lasting fragrance.

  • Enlightenment: Realizing The Essence of Existence -...

    Rated Feb 16 2011 2 reviews spirituality globalone.tv

The very essence of existence is bliss

At the very core of your being
    is unconditional peace and love.

    You do not need
    to make yourself
    to be loving,
    to be compassionate.

For then you are only making
    your idea of yourself
    more loving and compassionate.

    And in trying to make
yourself to be a certain way,
    you lose connection
with the essence of what you are.

    By resisting
    how you are,
    you resist love itself.

    If you can simply
    be honest about your
    experience in this moment
    and allow & feel that,
    then automatically
    this allowing & feeling
    awakens you to your essence.

    Automatically
    peace is revealed to you.

    When you see your dog
    sitting there watching you,
    you do not think
    "I should be loving
    to my dog."

    You automatically feel love.

It has nothing to do with the mind
or your acting in a certain way.

    Love is automatic.

Only if you are lost in your thinking
you would not feel that love.

    So you see,
    love is already here.
    Peace is already here.

    Only because you place
    importance on the content
    of your thinking
    do you miss this love.

    The Importance of Rain:

    Chapter 2:

    Kural 11

It is the unfailing fall of rain that sustains the world.
Therefore, look upon rain as the nectar of life.

    Kural 12

    Rain produces man's wholesome food;
and rain itself forms part of his food besides.

    Kural 13

Though oceanic waters surround it, the world will be deluged
by hunger's hardships if the billowing clouds betray us.

    Kural 14

When clouds withhold their watery wealth,
farmers cease to ply their plows.

    Kural 15

It is rain that ruins, and it is rain again
that raises up those it has ruined.

    Kural 16

Unless raindrops fall from the sky,
not a blade of green grass will rise from the earth.

    Kural 17

The very nature of oceans, though vast, would diminish
if clouds ceased to take up water and replenish rain's gifts.

    Kural 18

Should the heavens dry up, worship here of the heavenly ones
in festivals and daily rites would wither.

    Kural 19

Unless the heavens grant their gifts, neither the giver's generosity
nor the ascetic's detachment will grace this wide world.

    Kural 20

No life on Earth can exist without water,
and water's ceaseless flow cannot exist without rain.

Tirukural is a classic of couplets or Kurals (1330 rhyming Tamil couplets) or aphorisms celebrated by Tamils. It was authored by the Tamil poet Thiruvalluvar, and is considered to be the first work to focus on ethics in Dravidian literature. Although the exact period of its composition is still disputed, scholars agree that it was produced before the 4th century A.D.

    Be At Peace:

You spend most of your life running after things, doing things.
You forget that being comes before doing.
Those who remember this secret make an effort to "be"
and discover that when they stop and observe,
life helps and brings whatever is needed.
Learning to be is learning to be at peace.
It is our most fundamental nature.
