Hey all. I'm a student of natural health, currently studying holistic nutrition and hoping to add more modalities when the time is right. I'm a music junkie, with a passion for the environment. The more I evolve, the more of a stereotype I become.

It's not really that simple, though of course this is PETA trying to educate people.

Under Obama, Price of Gas Has Jumped 83 Percent, Ground...

Not a big fan of Obama, but blaming gasoline prices on a politician is a bit silly. We've hit peak oil, and unless we figure out alternatives to petroleum, these sort of price rises are going to keep happening, irregardless of what politicians are put in charge. Voluntary simplicity combined with working to lower birth rates seems the answer to me. -

While the idea of technocracy sounds nice on the surface, it still keeps a concentration of power into the hands of few. -

Although everyone has different nutritional needs, I'd agree for the most part that this is a pretty decent general food pyramid, with the focus on fruits and vegetables with some legumes, whole grains such as brown rice and omega 3 rich fish forming the foundation. The idea is that the antioxidants, phytochemicals and healthy essential fatty acids will reduce inflammation. Of course, you need to tailor it depending on your individual constitution (some people don't do well with grains) and current health situation. I would also omit the pasta and reduce the soy since processed foods are not a good building block for health. -

What a terrible video, it doesn't even explain how the service works, or what makes it different from say delicio.us or other bookmark sites. It might be a good SU alternative though, considering how they keep making it less functional with every update. -

There has got to be a better use for old cassettes than turning them into this absolutely hideous light fixture.
