I'm not sure the title freethought fits. It gives a great number of quotes from some great thinkers. But really free thoughts are learned by are own look at life. I've always been an atheist but I've always had a great fascination with religion. My view is that if it helps some people to survive life so be it. It has it's strange moments like Christian soldiers killing Muslims who believe in Christ and Muslims killing Christians. The book says don't kill, the manual says kill. We see in the news what is more important.
