Google puts 1.5 million books in your pocket.
The new service is called Google Mobile Book Search. And as of today, it's accessible to all iPhone/iPod touch and Android users. Instead of being a separate application, the Book Search service is accessed by simply pointing your mobile browser to books.google.com/m, which brings up an optimized user interface for either iPhone or Android handsets. The service allows title, author, or subject searches from the over 1.5 million public domain books inside the country, and over 500,000 available outside the U.S. In addition, featured books in various sections like business and economics, the classics, science and math, travel, and more can be browsed. You can access the custom books selection anytime by clicking on the "Recently viewed books" under the "My books" section.
