Another fictional film from connoisseur of 60 pop, British especially, Dan Leo in Larry Winchester guise calls this a gem from "Kitchen Sink school of British cinema." Helen Shapiro stars as a Cockney girl fooled by sinister men as she tries to improve her lot. She's a terrific singer, one I didn't know before.

On Dan Leo's highly imaginative, insanely entertaining blog are included movies that should have been: supposedly written by "Larry Winchester" they describe a funny plot and cast. To ground the dream film in its era, he offers a YouTube video as further commentary on its time, place, and genre. Too good to miss.
