Saoka managed to miss the point of the article completely. He is not talking about religion being foolish or contradictory (which it is) but rather that it occupies the focus of our mind as if it were as important as humanitarian crises. And instead of thinking of how we can help numerous global issues, we are instead distracted by local matters that are at best trivial such as gay marriage and abortion.
