I'm sure some of you who've read my blog over the past couple of years wonder what happened to my promise to write more last spring. Well the truth is I have been writing, but not stories or blog posts. Instead I've starting writing songs again and while I'm far from being prolific I've managed to write a few songs that I think are pretty good. I'm planning to record them with a friend of mine who, unlike me, is a real musician and has a home studio. Anyway I figured I would post one of the songs and see what people thought of it. I actually started writing this song back in 1991 and then it sat until earlier this year when I started working on it again. 10 points to anyone who can figure out what book inspired the lyrics...

Disclaimer: This is a really raw demo. I am not the greatest guitarist in the world and I'm a little off key in a couple of places. Also I recorded this using a digital camcorder, so the sound quality is decent, but nothing extraordinary. Anyway I hope you guys will still like it, but I also expect an honest review. If you guys do like it I may post more songs in the future. 8-)
