My sorority sister, Digits graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Life's More Devastating Challenges. Living Within Samsara is an exploration of her continuing post-graduate studies.

Digits' insights are remarkable, compassionate and compelling. She does not lecture, scold, or wave fingers. Rather, when highlighting iniquities she encourages polite, rational discussion. Living Within Samsara opens both hearts and minds - a rare gift in these confusing times.

Post edit: Upon reading other Stumblers' reviews of this blog it would seem that Digits has attracted the ire of an amateurish, two-bit troll. Consider the source, friends.

Another killer find via one of my SU faves, nacmacfeagle!

    1. Pick up the nearest book (of at least 123 pages).
    2. Open the book to page 123.
    3. Find the fifth sentence.
    4. Post the next three sentences.
    5. Tag five people & post a comment at the originating blog after you've posted it to your blog.
    ============================
Note: I don't tag people. Most good memes do manage to get decent circulation even if not in the manner envisioned by their creators.

Tonight's selection is from the well received book Programming the Universe by Seth Lloyd. Surprisingly enough I happened across a brand new hardback copy at a greatly reduced price at the Town and Country supermarket in Salem, Arkansas. Apparently my tastes in literature are fairly different from this region's general preferences. A cursory glance at the offerings on the shelves of the Fulton County Public Library also tend to bear this out. So be it.

"In the Schroedinger's Cat paradox, the state of the particle, detector, and cat after the measurement is |left, no click, cat alive> + |right, no click, cat dead>. In some weird quantum way, the cat is alive and dead at the same time.

"The Schroedinger's Cat paradox has inspired much confusion. Stephen Hawking got so tired of this paradox that he would often say (in paraphrase of Joseph Goebbels), 'Whenever I hear the words 'Schroedinger's Cat,' I reach for my gun.'"

Okay, so I included a fourth line. Sue me. It was still effing funny!

    LiveJournal abuse report

It's all right here in the archived page for the 12step_freedom group.

This person is obviously determined to spew his venom where it is neither appropriate nor welcome. Moreover, he seeks to engage anyone stupid enough to enable further opportunities to continue his tirades.

It's pathetic individuals like clonnie who turn valid and necessary special interest communities into war zones. People read/post to addiction recovery groups for experience, strength, hope and a sense of belonging amongst others in recovery. They sure don't need the type of negativity he's selling.

Please be advised that the entire text of this LiveJournal customer service report will appear verbatim elsewhere online. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Friends, the noose that is HR 1955 is not going to care about anyone's political or religious leanings, or much of whatever the flavor of division is this week. Make no mistake: *All* of our American necks, both present and future, are in jeopardy. Playing the blame game is moot at this point. The framers of the U.S. Constitution and The Bill of Rights must be rolling in their graves. And yes, this nation may LET itself be duped into a civil war if we collectively CHOOSE to forget that United We Stand. Blind obedience and forced mutism has never been the American way. Nor should it ever be.

Article excerpt: "We have lost sight of what it means to be a nation willing to be aggressive in the world and spread freedom or deal with disease. And we have lost our confidence in the ability to compete internationally," Bush said in an interview with Wall Street Journal reporters yesterday.

Let me see if I've got this right... Our Idiot in Chief has basically called the United States citizenry a pack of mincing cowards. /me thinks a certain megalomaniacal self-will run riot Texan needs to be taken out to the wood shed. After all, with that outrageous remark it would seem that he's already cut himself a pretty thorny switch. Spare the rod, spoil the perpetrator, right?
