Robert Frittmann discovers that feeds feeding into other feeds can really get out of hand. Somebody needs to design a feed manager! Also, Robert unveils his new personal portal using the freeform design tool Scrapplet to drag and drop any type of content to anywhere on his portal pages. Now that is what I call a "personality" portal!

Welcome to my tribute to the cyberpunk. This page is partly old-fashioned static art gallery, and partly interactive live content. I have hung some of my favorite cyberpunk deviations in the background, and added a YouTube video of Neil Young's classic cyberpunk song "Sample and Hold", which has long been one of my favorites. Other than that, there are interactive widgets that I can update while I am visiting their websites. This includes the floating "My favorite Cyberpunk deviations" widget which draws from my Cyberpunk favorites on deviantART. Also, the floating "My favorite Cyberpunk books" draws from LivingSocial, and it is connected to many of my other social networks, such as Facebook and MySpace. Finally, there is my "Recently Played" songs in the Last.FM widget, which updates automatically as I listen to music there.

This is the new personal portal of Fobert Frittmann. It has been built using Scrapplet, an OpenAjax environment that supports drag & drop, database injection, dynamic DOM interaction, and a programming API to allow for the freeform creation of programmable web pages that are constructed out of objects that have attributes. For instance, a whole website, (like one of my WordPress.com blogs), can be dragged and dropped into Scrapplet as an object, and the way that this site then appears in my Scrapplet page can be customized using the attributes of the new object, such as giving it a border, specifying placement and size properties for the object on the page, and even to adding actions to the object, including handlers for click events and timers.
