No, SU. Just no.
No, SU. Just no.
Yeah, I remember a site like this from six or seven years ago about a guy who found a smashed camera and developed the film in it, then started getting stalked and threatened by the government. For some reason he had to wait until a specific date to post the pics, and when he did they were blurry shots of a supposed giant ark built to save world leaders from a giant flood - which just happened to be the plot for the book he was promoting. Bleh.
Thumbs down for fake.
It's wonderful to see her put in her place - no, I'm not saying "a woman's place" or any of that sexist garbage - but the place where all worthless, dangerous, and damaging myths belong. Interesting how she can still spout the canard that modern law is based on the ten commandments when she's been told numerous times that most of those commandments do not have any laws regarding them today (honor parents, honor the sabbath, no gods above Yahweh, coveting, adultery, graven images, etc...) Some heads are just too thick, I suppose.
Dislike due to presence of Courtney.
You can do all of these same tricks with most any other mythology.
Handy for those times when people try to tell you the Bible has no contradictions. This is more of a visual aid than a reference guide - for a detailed list, go to http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/contra/by_name.html
Video was mildly amusing, but would have been better without the audio equivalent of a steaming pool of diarrhea.
Pitiful. I thought they came out of the Christian closet years ago? Thy Unveiling came out in 2004 - are these two dirtbags coming out AGAIN, just to try to sell more records and copies of their lousy movies?
And if ANYONE else recorded "Miracles," it would be just as ignorant and pathetic. Drop the martyr crap.
Actually, this suffers from the same Biblical quote-mining that most other Christians are guilty of. Christ said specifically that he was not here to change the law - Matthew 5:18 "Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or tittle shall nowise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled" (plus a few others - http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/contra/otlaw.html) Also, if OT laws are no longer valid, then does that mean we can toss out the ten commandments? I've never quite understood how that works.
I've got a better idea. Let's put Jesus in the same place that we should all other characters of legend, like Paul Bunyan and Pecos Bill, and use his stories to teach us how to be better people - but NOT turn them into a religion, run our lives by them, and try to force others to do the same.
Entertainment from the moral point of view of a bronze age book of myths that includes justified slavery, incest, murder, child rape, and genocide (to name a few).
I got a headache, but it wasn't from the tones - it was from trying to read the red text on a fuchsia background.
"Hey everyone, look away from the child-sex-abuse scandals and other atrocities of the Church and check out this thing that's a miracle just because we said it is!"
Someone disproves the nutty myth that the world will end in 2012 by quoting a book of nutty myths.
Also - Learn to form paragraphs, please.
There's a "Kids" section on their site.
Just another example of religious based child abuse.
Well, put, but I would add one thing - not only does the Bible say nothing against abortion, it contains many passages about how infants and the unborn have zero value (http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/says_about/abortion.html) and even contains a procedure for performing an abortion that involves some kind of bitter water (http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/num/5.html#21)
Cute site on the foibles of Christine O'Donnell. Thanks for the laughs, Christine - keep them coming!
