Those who are familiar with the history of underground mining know that canaries are used to warn miners of air quality issues because birds are more sensitive than humans. Anyone who has a pet cockatiel knows that fumes from teflon pans can kill it. Teflon contains fluoride. (See
fluoridealert.org/f-sources.htm [fluoridealert.org/f-sources.htm] .)
Purebred breeds of horses, dogs, and cats are also more sensitive to toxins in the environment. The purer and better the pedigree, the more they're affected. I had found a site that listed pets that died related to the pet food recall by breed. I'll add that when I find it again. Labrador Retrievers are especially sensitive.
I've known for years that the better you get at breeding exceptional racehorses the more physical symptoms they have such as Azuteria (aka "Tying Up") and breathing-related issues. Many famous horses were given only Mountain Valley Spring water to drink for good reason. (Can you imagine what a hassle it is to keep enough water for a horse on hand and travel with it everywhere?)
I have friends who are seriously into animal rescue. They have brought many animals here and the cats that are too ill to be adoptable are all long-haired white cats. Cats have a reputation for being finicky for a reason - they are too smart to eat poisoned food and some will refuse repeatedly until you offer them something healthier to eat. These particular cats insisted on moving indoors and spend little time outside. They insisted on climbing on my desk and drinking water out of my glass until I made sure that no one ever gave them any other type of water to drink.
The rescue receives donated food - breakage from the major brands and also purchased by contributors from chain stores. We verify that none of it is on the recall list, but the condition of those dogs and cats changes every time the food is changed. There are also four dogs on the property - all rescues. The older chocolate lab either acts normal for her, or gets very lethargic, sleeps too much, and doesn't want to go outside. She doesn't hear you calling her and you have to wake her up. Then she acts normal again.
The older mixed breed male dog will be fine and then will suddenly throw up repeatedly after eating. He has a recurring skin condition that the other older dog has also had at times but not nearly as bad. Both are better since I recently started giving them the same vitamins the Lab has gotten all her life. The Lab and a younger mixed breed puppy receiving special vitamins are rarely affected; however, the very healthy black lab has twice had severe swelling around her face and eyes after being outside for a short time. Her eyes swelled shut the first time and even her head was swollen.
I have also noted that the dispositions of all animals keep changing. The are more aggressive than normal at times. Spayed females act like entire males. The best horses get that "out in space" look and spook at everything.
It appears to me that the bird flu propaganda and the pet food recalls are intended to distract us from being seriously concerned about the birds and pets that are sick. The same ingredients that are in pet foods are in all commercial packaged HUMAN food too.
NOW is the time to take action to protect your health and enhance your immune system. Learn to use muscle testing. Do not trust any packaged food or bottled water. (You can use muscle testing or your senses of taste and smell - or your animals - but better to avoid altogether.) Stop eating "dead" food or killing your live food with overcooking and microwaves.
I don't want to sound like chicken little running around saying the sky is falling. I want you to know I am not crazy and I AM dead serious. We are slowly suffocating, poisoning, and malnourishing ourselves and it won't take much to finish us off at this rate.
