This is the best calorie chart I've seen because, although it gives standard measures (cups, tablespoons, etc ), it also gives the total weight for that unit of measure in both grams and ounces. That allows you to do everything with a scale. For example, a tomato has 0.2 calories per gram, which means a 100 gram tomato is 20 calories. Peanut butter is 6.2 calories per gram so 55 grams is 341 calories.
Using a scale is easier and more flexible. For example, I can put a bowl of pasta on a scale, zero it out, and then add as much cheese as I want. After that, I multiply the weight of the cheese by 4 because the cheese I use has 4 calories per gram.
The chart's only shortcoming is you need to calculate the calories-per-gram number yourself, but that's not too bad because (if you write it down) you only have to do it once.
