The birds are back. The trees are back in bloom. The walkers now switch back to early mornings. The sunshine though welcome is also an excuse to stay indoors or to avoid unvwanted chores.House painted, waterlines drawn afresh and this is the time to enjoy particularly when the summer holidays make the road commutable. Plenty to read with newspapers getting bulkier and bulkier with IPL, elections, postulations on outside happenings etc

There is a strange common behaviour among the younger three within our circle. Their returns are silent, moves discreet and plans ambiguous. Even the mobiles are silent.Melt down can't be that bad and it is sad to see youngsters avoiding facing issues and stand up. The news of escapism elsewhere is no longer a distant news. Maybe we haven't seen everything

Wishing everyone a very happy NEW YEAR.
Personally the new year appe.ar to have started on a nice note with the separation of chaff and grain appearing complete in 2008. It is astonishing to see the amount of distress othere cause to meet self interests. A time comes when the focus is shifted to the deserving and accomodating the non deserving has to end.

The years draws to a close. After the heavy rains, the focus appears to be drawing lines and can we expect a new year with concrete actions and roles defined? The melt down seems to be providing opportunities to shed LOAD and how far it will take to!

This appears to be what it says its focus is on. Excellent option, simple and doesn't take much time to open or work online as well. Nice work and very useful.

The thing about "knowing" and "NOT knowing" has always facinated and sometimes the thought about time dilation and life-spans get on to a point to ponder whether everything is a dream. My neighbour who has been interacting with all of us and considered a very social person, active and visiting us almost everyday, went for a routine check up and was brought back within a matter of two hours. His existence was over just like that. When his body was taken for cremation, the gesture of his wife showing TA-TA with tears tells us something. It is very deep and cannot be removed.

It is something astonishing to look at some people taking advantage of good natured help to be weakness and only when too much has been taken for granted, awarenss srrikes. It is not amazing but painful to see degradation especially at close quarters.

It can be easily dispersed as NATUREAL DISASTERS but viewed with real impact on a long range there is some lesson and maybe warnings to us. I was in Coimbatore and the family at Chennai when 'NARGIS" started forming nearby and it is surprising how people who had not faced these kind of severe weather conditions take it easily and also express "how nice it would be to see it". Fortunately Chennai and Coastal AP escaped in India but unfortunately MYENMAR had to face the full brunt. The fury at "PICHER" is even worse, threatening to erase out of memory. And the ice capping at Sichuan. It is pretty sad to read from a distance but having experienced one in 1977 and another in 2004, it makes me wonder if we missed the signs somewhere and are being brutally reminded about.
The increasing frequency certainly calls for an introspection and explore possible remedial measures if still available. How nice if media focus on educating and bringing the magnitude to all setting aside some sensational news locally. Can we hide under "NATURE IS GREAT LEVELLER"?
