"Look, I'm not trying to hog the blog, I just have pages of Seattle types in my sketchbook and felt compelled to share one more. One day I was sitting in Fremont (a crunchy suburb of Seattle) and saw all these people with my own eyes:

Figure 1. He was coming out of PCC (an organic food store) and was wearing purple lycra pants underneath big puffy shorts pulled up to his armpits. A fanny pack and Tevas with socks completed the ensemble.

Figure 2. There is a large population of Seattle women who always wear purple, never comb their hair, and claim they are "goddesses". Goddesses of what, I wonder?

Figure 3. Okay, this lady is just about everywhere you go in Seattle. Her silver hair is cut into a severe bob, she is always angry, she wears rubber gardening clogs with hemp pajama bottoms, and drives her forest green Subaru Outback 45 mph on the freeway "fast" lane. I think I counted at least 100 of her in and around Seattle. Is she the same lady or are there multiple editions? It's a great mystery."
