There is something rather yukky and cynical about this story; the Catholic church (who for years opposed the canonisation of Padre Pio), is proposing to exhume the body of this Saint (they changed their minds), so that it can be displayed.
As someone who was brought up as a Catholic, but in a very liberal questioning way, I find this reversion to superstition, and the veneration of individual saints rather unpalatable.
I am always quite interested in stories about Padre Pio, as I have a connection (superstitious, it has to be said). When resitting exams, I was staying with my aunt, a very devout Catholic. She gave me a relic; it constituted a microscopic piece of a habit he was supposed to have worn, worked into a tiny pamphlet on which was written a prayer. I am very fond of my aunt, and her belief is very sincere, and I was touched by this gift. I also passed my exams.

Possible news of the release of the Saudi blogger arrested in December.
For those who talk about freedom of speech here on SU, this story is what freedom of speech and censorship is really about.
I am still bemused as to why our countries feel the need to be allied to Saudi Arabia, and unable to comment on their human rights record, nor on the corruption at high level (for example, the withdrawal of criminal proceedings against BAE).
From the page: "Saudi Arabia is an absolute monarchy governed by strict Islamic law and though Saudi King Abdullah raised hopes for reform when he assumed the throne in 2005, news outlets remain censored, and Internet access is restricted, according to the U.S. State Department's latest human rights report on the kingdom.
Al-Farhan and al-Omran are motivated to blog for the same reason.
"He was really not comfortable with situation with media; the media is not representative of Saudi society," al-Omran said. "It doesn't represent me as a citizen. Also the other issues [have] to do with freedom of expression. He looked [at] blogging as freedom.""
