GP wines by the Labelmaker
for Black Sea Gold - Pomorie
Here are several photos of one of my latest designs for Black Sea Gold - Pomorie - the GP wine range.
Currentlly represented by two wines - still one to come - Cabernet Sauvignon 2008.
The GP wines are positioned at the top-premium wines of national market and my brand new design replaces the existing one created over 5 years ago. The brand name GP comes from Grand Prix and it is solely used only for the top wines of the cellar which have turned into wine icons of Bulgaria.

Hedera is one of our newest and most exciting design for Domain Marash.
Itis a brand new winery in Bulgariafull with enthusiasm and exciting perspectives. We all have been inspired bythe fresh and young spirit of the whole project. Our main goal was to create aunique label, based onattractive even crazy idea. We decided to use the QR code as a main image ofmodern vision and then blend it with classic artistic calligraphy for theHedera brand.
All these incorporated in nearly classic labelform,delicately touched by our contemporaryapproach.
As part of our design tradition, we wanted to improve the label effect so we put sometransperant puff-up varnish on the QR code and on the Hedera calligraphy. We used the same QR code pattern onbottle capsule and it really turned out the whole vision into something veryattractive and elegant at the same time.

Here is a short selection of some of my most succesful hand lettered logotypes.
The creative process is same for every logo - it is calligraphed on a white sheet of paper, than scanned and converted to vector image.
Most of the logos are in use from the moment of their creation and some of them are the face of leading brands in Bulgaria.

The Stallion Wine Range / Angelus Estate

The Stallion Wine of Angelus Estate is positioned in exclusive super-premium class - an amazing wine that can impress every connoiseur.
The brand name Stallion comes from the area of the vineyards but also reminds of the spirit and free energy of a young stallion - characteristics that communicate perfectly with the wine itself.
I designed a luxurous wine label based on image of running horse. I used gloss puff-up varnish that makes outstanding contrast to the black matte finish of the paper surface producing
a premium feel to the brand.
The logotype of Angelus Estate is designed by me too. It is printed with matte copper hotfoil.
The wavy top end of the label symbolizes the mountains and the sky and the radial glossy lines are equal to the soil's layers.
