It's lunch time on the Miracle Mile, and people are roaming the streets in well-heeled packs. But between the fast food, taco trucks, and ubiquitous chicken and burger places, it is hard to keep it healthy. Or is it? Suddenly a silver taco truck appears, parked like an oasis on the side of Wilshire. Its funky green script reads Green Truck, and people are lined up down the sidewalk. Why? Because it is one of the first and only sustainable organic food trucks in the city of Los Angeles. And their food is good.

Do you give up and go eat the greasiest, cheapest burger and fries and then throw away a bag full of garbage? Your excuses to indulge in unhealthy and unsustainable fare are dwindling. These days, there's lots of diet-friendly options at most fast food purveyors, and they are also making strides towards being healthier for the planet too (some more so than others, so read on).
