I am Here!
I made it! I have some stories to tell...more interesting than an artistic series on carpets of the world. I have however, captured some fascinating floor...on a ferry ride, and at the aquarium..but must save that for another time.

It is nice to connected, finally. Went to Virgin Mobile and purchased a cell phone, and a mobile broadband USB stick so I could stay in touch. I got back to the hotel, the god damn things did not work!!!!I I called Virgin...after much discussion, we discovered that "virgin" and "Laurie" were totally incompatible..a technological and social oxymoron. I do not want to tell you the solution, other than to say...I am online ;-)

I have phoned a couple of my stumble friends, and it is so good to talk to them at a time that is a) on the same day and b) when at least one of us is awake..it is quite a time zone difference.

The basketball team has a brutal schedule..including a doubleheader...honestly...do they not know we are old???? ;-) I don't golf till Tuesday, which means I have some time to "experience" Sydney. Me and my Virgin...mobile.

Just heading out the door..hope to get some time to write soon..
