Carol is a 65 year old woman from Mogadore, Ohio, USA
When I was young and my family would hop into our '51 Ford for a roadtrip, I would squeeze into the back seat with my 2 older brothers armed with our comics and we would trade and bicker and carry on and then every once in awhile my mother would reach around through the cigarette haze and backhand all 3 of us at once. Since then I'm proud to have seen and been through many changes, some of which are reflected here in my pages. Many of my beliefs are contrary to those of my cherished friends and so I say that they are just this, my opinions which are given in the spirit of openness, rather than to in any way alienate those who would come here. Lastly, if you don't click on everything you see, you're missing out on the best part, so try to slow down and enjoy. Blow up the screen, crank up the volume and welcome to my world :-)

SOME NICE VINTAGE POSTERS, ADDRESSING EVERYTHING FROM SOCIAL DISEASE, COMMON COURTESY, CENSORSHIP OF CONVERSATION DURING WAR, PRESERVATION OF TREES. IT REMINDS US THAT OUR COUNTRY HAS BEEN THROUGH THE GAMUT, AND WE'VE PULLED THROUGH. . . IN FACT, NOTHING'S REALLY NEW, IT BOILS DOWN TO PERSONAL INTEGRITY. THESE PARTICULAR POSTERS ARE FROM WWI

THIS LAST REMINDS US OF OUR ORIGINS
IF YOU HAVEN'T LOOKED AT THE SHORPIE WEBSITE, DO TAKE A LOOK
SEE FIRST HAND HOW OUR FOREFATHERS HAD IT

"COME BE MY LIGHT"
When you stop and think about faith and the deep seated commitment which normally becomes a by-product, the last person who comes to mind as a falterer for any length of time, would be Mother Teresa . . . and yet there it is . . . she struggled for 50 years to regain her standing with God, all the while hiding this terrible secret of doubt from all but her closest
confessors. Rather than call her to task, she was led to understand her darkness as the very image of Christ on the cross, surrounded by the detractors who put him there, crying out for help . . it was his humanity. Why people choose to reveal their innermost secrets in writing, I'll never know but this she did and these letters were saved against her wishes by the Vatican and were compiled to become a book, about a year ago. I never knew about it but I'll be running down to the library on the morrow to get my copy, for who among us doesn't experience uncertain times and who better than to look to, but this martyr to all that she professed to believe. Who knows, in the long scheme of things, her ministry on this earth may prove to be secondary to a legacy born of the doubt she so fastidiously hid.
